An AI chief of staff that writes the daily report for two companies

Affiliate disclosure: Mulkern AI Systems is an independent affiliate partner of Easy (easy.one), a product of Smart Apps Limited. It is our experience, not a statement by Easy.

Every morning at 9:00 Central, an agent on our Easy installation writes Mike one report covering both of his companies. It has three sections, in an order Mike set himself: what was done since yesterday, what needs his approval, and what the agents plan to do today. This page explains how that chief of staff is set up, what it reads, and the rules we added after it got things wrong.

What the daily report contains

The format came from Mike, in his own words on 23 October 2026: a summary of what was done since the day before, what needs his approvals, and what the agents are planning to do today. Before that, the report listed decisions only. When Mike changed the format, the "done" section went back in at the top.

Each item in the approvals section carries the specific action, a recommendation, and what happens if Mike does nothing. Items are ranked by worst consequence first, so the thing that costs the most if ignored sits at the top of the list.

Where the chief of staff gets its facts

The report is only as good as what the agent reads. Ours reads two surfaces before writing a word: Mike's own Telegram conversation with Easy and the recent web chat threads. A report written from one surface missed half of what was said, so reading both became a required first step.

It then reads the real run record of the scheduled jobs and the pending approvals tracker. A separate platform health sweep runs at 8:45, fifteen minutes earlier, so its findings are ready when the report is written.

Rules we added after it got things wrong

A timeout is not automatically a failure. Some of our jobs launch background work and report through it, so the scheduled turn can time out while the work underneath finished. The report now has to say which kind of result each one is.

A refusal is not a failure either. When a job correctly declines to publish because our approval rule says it must wait, that job succeeded, and the report says so. Without this rule, a working safety check looked like a broken job every morning.

The report also has to state what each job produced, with real counts and links, never "completed successfully." A job that ran and produced nothing says that plainly.

How to build one on Easy

Easy has scheduled tasks that run an agent at a set time and deliver the result to a channel you choose, such as Telegram, WhatsApp, Slack, or email. The Easy documentation includes a morning briefing recipe that is a sensible starting point.

Our advice is to start with three sections and a short brief, then tighten the brief each time the report misleads you. Most of the rules above were written the morning after a report got something wrong.

In the Easy documentation, see A morning briefing that talks to you and Scheduled tasks and watchers.

Questions

Does the daily report replace a weekly report?

In our case it did. A weekly chief of staff report ran on Sundays until 23 October 2026, when the daily report superseded it and the weekly one was retired.

Can the chief of staff act on what it finds?

Ours reports and recommends. Changes go through an approval rule: the agent stages the change, and Mike approves it before anything is applied.

Which channel does the report arrive on?

Easy can deliver scheduled results to chat apps or email. Ours arrives on Telegram, because that is where Mike already works.

Is this page sponsored by Easy?

No. It is an affiliate page written by Mulkern AI Systems. Mike earns a commission on purchases made through our links.
